We built the first electrical grid for 3000 people living in Igbérè

Benin map

Over 100 families, businesses and public services get electricity

They can light their homes and power any electric appliance just like people in the city

The grid is live 5 hours each day

Electrical wire box S15

Access for everyone

Free installation

GSM Antenna

Villagers access the grid using prepaid contracts that can be unlocked at any time by text message

Life in the village has transformed dramatically

Living conditions are improving, economic opportunities are rising

African Woman entrepreneur - Julienne

Entrepreneurs like Julienne can operate their shops in the evening and use fridges to preserve food

Rural Clinic

Rural clinics can run more efficiently, even at night

Cinema under the stars

Villagers can access information about what is going on in the world and experience an open air cinema for the first time

Villagers exit the Temple

The temple, mosque and church are now the fanciest gathering places in the village

We want to solve the electricity access issue in Igbérè and beyond

Our grid has been providing electricity to people in Igbérè since September 2015

Our grid has been providing electricity to people in Igbérè since September 2015

People are ready to pay for modern energy services, which makes our solution sustainable

It's cheaper

Living off the grid means depending on batteries, coal, kerosene lamps for energy. They cost up to 30% of a family's income. Our electricity costs 50% less on average!

It's HEALTHIER

Electric lightbulbs produce bright light. They also don't emit toxic fumes, unlike candles, kerosene lamps, etc, which currently kill 70,000 people each week!

It's safer

Electric appliances are much safer than open fires. More light also means fewer crimes, accidents and animal attacks!

It triggers development

A powerful electrical grid allows for big appliances like mills and other machines that generate revenue for entrepreneurs!

By upgrading our grid and building a hybrid solar power plant, Power:On will be able to provide cleaner, cheaper electricity, 24/7

Being a startup guarantees that we are focused on the only thing that matters: making our customers very happy.

If we fail at providing them a service that transforms their lives, they will simply stop buying. We will go bankrupt, and someone else will take our place.

But if we succeed, not only will we change the lives of our customers, but we will earn money to maintain our installations, build more grids and change the lives of more people.

This is the virtuous circle we are building

No subsidies: independent, focused and impactful.

We just need a little push to get started

A one-time donation to launch a rocket that will never come down
